Bismillah.
I would like to share my experience attending a webinar conducted by my current company, titled “You’re Built To Last”, which is meant for new hires.
The webinar created an impact on me and made me realise and reminded me of my WHY in life. I remember early in my working life, my then manager back in the first insurance company I joined, told me to plan my life inclusive of financial and life goals, before going out to meet people to help them plan their finances and their life goals.
Alhamdulillah, I followed through with my life and finance plans up to the point of my 1st employment after I officially graduated from university. I was contemplating pursuing my studies further to Masters or professional qualifications such as ACCA or CFA. I asked myself, what is next for me and asked Allah for guidance as job all these while was to give back to the community as a noble cause, as I remember my asatizah did mentioned that knowledge gained have to be shared through act of service or through educating the community.
So when the webinar I attended pointed out that I can do more with whatever Financial Capital, Physical Capital and Human Capital that I have. Provided that I have the right set of Habits, Attitude and Discipline. Coupled with proper work processes and also to review and be accountable. Therefore, the knowledge I acquired from the webinar, makes my WHY stronger and to pursue what I have been wanting to do all this while: To help the community by educating them on the importance of financial planning.
It wasn’t an easy process to work on my WHY, in syaa Allah with Allah’s guidance and the strong support from people around me, I look forward to aspiring more people to acquire useful knowledge and gain financial independence. May Allah ease our affairs in attaining success in dunya and akhirah. Aamiin. Have a great weekend everyone!
