Eating Healthy Can Be Affordable

Eating healthy can be fun! Can be in the form of wrap or noodles or brown rice or any other form of healthy carbohydrates.

Bismillah.

Based on my last blog post on Health Is Wealth, this is the continuation on how I make eating healthy affordable at the comfort of my own home (rarely eat out especially during this pandemic period). Some of us may find it a chore to prepare your own meals.

For my case, me and my husband have the same interest in being healthy and eating healthy. We agreed upon keeping it simple for our meals by listing and identifying the Carbohydrates, Proteins, Vegetables and Fruits that we wish to have for the day/week (meal prep). It is always good to go groceries shopping with a shopping list, so that you don’t overspent on unnecessary junk foods.

I have this habit of keeping all our shopping receipts and inputing it on our excel sheet to track our grocery shopping expenses to ensure that we didn’t burst our budget. There are some months where we spent more due to the fact that we bulk purchase on online grocery shopping.

It is good to keep a balance in eating healthy and enjoying some treats. Always to eat in moderation and remember to work out at least 150-minutes per week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity. But most importantly, manage your expenses for groceries. Cheers!
